Hello, friends and fellow readers ~ I am a published author, poet and playwright. I spent my working years as a technical writer for various organizations including food services, employee benefits and mental health. I retired from gainful employment in 2022. Along with some other absorbing, fun and nutty pursuits, I turned my energy toward writing the Great American Novel in early 2023. I recently completed my memoir, which was inspired by (but has little to do with) my adult children’s interest in zombie shows, the paranormal, and entertainment focused on horror.
Recent activities and current memberships include Pacific Northwest Writers’ Association (2025 scholarship recipient and member since 2023); NaNoWriMo Writing Challenge (successful completion of challenges in 2023 and 2024); GetABookDeal101 (member since 2023); and current semi-finalist for a poetry competition. I also participate in the Women in Publishing writers’ group. I’m a chorister and volunteer at my parish, local community centers, retirement homes, and as a backstage tech for the Seattle Opera. My goal is to make a difference in people’s lives by creating material and spreading joy with efforts that inspire, amuse or reach others through our shared common bonds.
My Literary Journey & Inspirations
My passion for writing started in childhood, fueled by a love for storytelling and a curiosity about the world around me. Over time, I’ve found my voice in poetry, memoir and creative writing, drawing inspiration from everyday experiences and pop culture.
Although writing is a solitary pursuit, I attempt to make a connection with readers on a personal level by drafting stories that others can relate to and enjoy. It’s my sincere hope that you and other readers who visit this site will find something here that speaks to you, and that you’ll want to return.
